Format: Setting the Scene. Text entries only. ≤ 500 words

Theme:

Frozen Echoes – you can implement this theme into a scene any way you want 

Task: Set a scene in 500 words or fewer (≤ 500 words), incorporating the theme-limit. Entries over 500 words will be removed at the end of the submission period.

Work alone or collaborate (credit collaborators).

The entry must be original work created during the jam period.

No NSFW or harassing works, please.

Submission on Itch.io: In Create a New Project, go to Details: Description and enter your text in the Description Window. (You may upload one cover image on the itch page to represent the project.)  If you wish to add an explanation about the process you followed, put it in the description or upload a separate document labeled process. This is where you can explain what you did and ask for feedback on how it came across to the readers. We encourage constructive feedback in the comments or on our server.

Rating: The entries will be rated 1-5 stars by itch users in the following 3 criteria: Jolt Factor (originality), Use of the Theme, Writing Quality. The top-rated submission wins a role on our server.

You will have 48 hours to write the entry and a week to rate entries.

We plan one jam a month in various areas (writing, music, art) to build up tools for making a game jam in in the fourth month, but it's also fine just to concentrate in one area if you prefer.

The current cycle is:

Early February: Writing Jam

Late February: Music Jam

March: Art Jam

April: Game Jam
