Attendance:

Depending on campus availability, we would prefer if people participated in person during campus opening times, but accomodations are available for people wanting to work from home.

Media Allowed:

Analogue (board game) or Digital game.

DM me (Kyan) regarding analogue submission.

Teams:

No size limit (for now), go it alone or with others - others highly encouraged,

Find a team here: https://discord.gg/NqfcxtFQdv (in the "find a team" channel).

Expectations

Beginner friendly, non-competitive jam. It is likely you will not finish your game. Plan to finish it but do not stress if you do not. Submit what you can if you can. Jams are likely to end in disaster, especially if it is your first. If you do not finish, it is still worth uploading. If you miss the deadline I also encourage you to upload to itch regardless, the experience is worth its weight in gold.

A survival guide will drop in the discord close to the start date, please read if it is your first jam or you want to submit something complete.

RULES AND RESTRICTIONS:

  • No generative AI content.
  • Asset packs are allowed, as long as you own the license for it.
  • Reused code should not be your core logic, you can reuse scripts for menus, camera controllers, loading screens, etc. but nothing you wouldn't expect a game engine to have built in.
  • You own the game you upload, GMC takes no ownership of anything created during the jam.
  • Fonts, music, sound effects, art or scripts if externally sourced must be within your rights to use and distribute.
  • Any engine is allowed, you may use Godot, Unity, Unreal, RPG Maker, Gamemaker, Renpy, etc. as long as it meets the above items.
  • Have fun!! Do not take this too seriously, do not destroy friendships over a holiday jam. Please.

There will be a showcase!! The  date of which is undecided but might end up being week 1 of tri 2.
