While we’re all quarantined / socially isolated / wallowing given the cancellation of every upcoming gaming event, let’s make something! Jamdemic 2020 is a longer-term jam in which we will make things inspired by our experiences under the threat of COVID-19. Beyond games, feel free to submit music, art, fiction or whatever other media you work with.
Theme
Make a game about or inspired by any aspect of life during a pandemic. Some possible points of entry include:
- Disease spread, prevention and control
- Social and political responses to disease
- Quarantine and social isolation
- Survival, vulnerability, recovery and self-care
Participation
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re working solo or in a team, whether you’re a designer, musician, artist, writer or otherwise.
Rules
Any media form is allowed. All assets are allowed.
NSFW games are OK as long as they fit the subject matter.
We recommend given the circumstances of the jam and our current political situation that you limit physical interaction with your teammates or fellow jammers.
Take care of yourself and don’t crunch.
Submissions will open on March 15th, 2020 and close on April 15th.
