Jam in a Jiffy is a lighthearted 12 hour game jam where the challenge is to take an idea from nothing to a finished playable game in a single day. It is all about speed, creativity, and having fun with whatever you can get working before the deadline. There is no pressure to make a polished masterpiece. The focus is on finishing something small, weird, or experimental and sharing it with others.

Anyone can join regardless of skill level. You can work alone or team up with friends. Any game engine, tool, or style is allowed as long as you can complete your project within the 12 hour window. This is the perfect chance to try a new concept, test a silly idea, or learn something new without worrying about long term commitment.

The jam is meant to be fast paced and collaborative. Talk with other participants, share your progress, and have fun with the short time limit. At the end everyone will be able to play each other’s creations and see the wide variety of games that can come from the same small window of time.

1. Work must be created during the 12 hour jam period. You may prepare tools, engines, and assets ahead of time but do not start making the actual game until the jam begins.

2. You may use pre-made assets, code libraries, and templates as long as you have the rights to use them and credit the creators.

3. Keep content appropriate for all audiences.

4. Respect other participants and their work.

5. Submit your game to the jam page before the deadline.

Entries will be rated by participants after the jam ends. Scoring categories:

These are meant to highlight interesting and enjoyable projects rather than focus on technical perfection. Feedback is encouraged to help each other grow and improve.
