JAM-2-AID presented by  Dirty Cook Studio LLC

WHAT IS JAM-2-AID?

Jam-2-Aid is a charity  event that  promotes inexpensive pieces (games, music, art, and more)  for good causes. This event  requires all participants to take a pledge to donate, at minimum, 50% of all their proceeds to a charity of their choice.

This jam gives participants and consumers alike the chance to give back to organizations that work tirelessly towards their goals while also   supporting artists ands teams.

FAQ

Does it need to be a game? No! You can submit music, art, or anything else you can submit onto Itch.io

Who can submit games? Anyone of any team size from anywhere.

What is the theme? There is no set theme for this game jam.

What engine can I use? You can use any engine you want.

Can I use assets? You can use any assets that you have the legal right to use.

Can I submit a game even if it has already been submitted to a different game jam? Yes. Since this is a game jam for charity we will not be judging and therefore we will not remove games that have already been submitted or developed outside of the game jam timeframe.

Can I submit my game as a free game? No. Your game must be at least $2.00 to purchase. This ensures that every game brings around $1.00 to charity and also supports the community of independent game developers.

Am I required to donate to a charity? Yes. The charity can be of your choice (You must say which on submission) but you must donate 50% or more of your proceeds during the game jam to the charity once the game jam has ended.

If I donate 50% to charity, can I keep the rest? Yes, the rest of your money is yours to do with as you wish.

Can I donate less than 50%? No. To participate, you must agree to donate at least 50%.

Do I have to donate 50% forever? No. Once the game jam ends after March 31, you are no longer required to donate any proceeds gained after that time.

When do I have to donate? You can donate throughout the game jam or you can wait until the end. We would prefer that you wait until the end as that will make counting much easier. We are hoping to get all donations confirmed by April 8th.

How do you confirm a donation? Just take a screenshot of the receipt of your donation to the charity and email it with a link to your submission to Contact@DirtyCookStudio.com . This is mostly for our records to get a final number and we will never share this information.

Will my submission be removed if I don't state the charity and percentage I will donate? Yes. This is a charity game jam and to keep the trust high, we will be removing any submission that even suggests that they won't be donating to charity(even if it's a joke).
