The Insanity Jam

In this jam, nothing makes sense.

That's the theme and that's how this jam works. Instead of making a really good, polished game... make a game that looks like it went through the washing machine and dryer. Confuse the player while still having a actual game under those layers.

How do you make a game that doesn't make sense?!

Very simple: Laziness.

Be a lazy developer and use what would normally be temporary developer art as art for the final product. Reuse assets from older games. Use your crappy paint application on your computer. Copy images from google images. Just make sure to say where your art is from. AI art is also great for this jam. So, if your art is from an older project,  hopefully your voters will consider it lazy.

Steal code from your previous projects. Leave bugs unfixed. Include no in-game tutorials. Absolutely bombard the player with mechanics and features and stuff. Chaos.

But there's more than just laziness...

The point of the jam is make a game that makes no sense, but you can't just make absolute dumpster fire, either. Here are some things to include:

1. Chaos.

2. No in-game tutorial

3. Still playable, though.

4. The game has to be something under that mess.

General Jam information and rules

Since your objective is to make a game that makes no sense, there pretty much are no rules. Work on the game before the jam starts, do whatever you feel like you gotta do. The rules aren't going to stop you. You are given an absolutely unnecessarily long amount of time to make the game. Why? Because garbage takes time to make.

The Rules:

1. Make a game that makes no sense

2. No in-game tutorials unless really necessary. Tutorials are allowed in the page where you play the game. Not in the game itself.

3. Quality is only allowed if it's just reused or copied from somewhere. If you are making a completely new object for the game, make sure the art is bad.

Voting Criteria

1. Insanity - How much does the game follow the '''''''''''''''theme'''''''''''''''?

2. Art - How lazy is the art design? Art should be from old projects or from google images or be dev art. AI art is great too!

3. Audio - How is the audio? The more it hurts your ears the better. No audio is bad though.

4. Washing Machine Cycles - How much is in the game? If it has lots of content, this should be high.

5. Enjoyment - Did you enjoy the game?
