GRADE: 9-12 

DATE: 27, 28 & 29 July, 2022 (60 Hours Spread Across 3 Days) 

DURATION: 60 Hours (27 July, 2022 at 12 am to 29 July, 2022 at 12 Noon)

THEME: It Wasn't Supposed To Do That!

• Participants have to create a PC Game based on the given topic and within the given timeframe. Mobile games are not allowed
• Games can be of any genre (FPS, platformer, etc.), can be both 2D or 3D
• Any game engine is allowed
• Games should be shorter than 30 minutes, but infinite games are still allowed
• A a trailer 30-90 seconds long explaining the game and its code must also be included
• While uploading the game, set Classification as ‘Game’, Kind of project as ‘Downloadable’, Pricing as ‘No Payments’ and Visibility and access as ‘Restricted’
• Link your trailer in the ‘Gameplay Video or Trailer’ textbox
• References must be mentioned in ‘Details’
• As a precautionary measure against cheating, the project folder must be compressed in an archive and must be submitted to the tech team everyday at 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm using a MediaFire link. The project does not need to be completed when uploading on these time slots.

• Important announcements or for any other queries the participants are required to join the Ingenious Official Discord Server Server and take their roles. The announcement will also be shared on the whatsapp group. The link for the same is https://discord.gg/jdvCADksU4

• Plagiarism will lead to an instant ban

In game dev, things going wrong is commonplace.

Ah yes, the classic NPCs jumping off cliffs in Skyrim, or the T-posing bikers in Cyberpunk 2077, and the item duplication in... literally every game.

But the difference between us and them is that they call them bugs. But we call them Features

Because the theme of this game jam iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis:

A game simply riddled with bugs? 
A game made solely of plot twists? 
A game that challenges predisposed notions on how games are supposed function? 

Well I don't know!
