Hey hey! Let's spook our way into the new year!

Yeah yeah It's (insert local timezone season here) and it's definitely not Spooky Month anymore. But why should that stop us from having a frighteningly good time?? I say BAH HUMBUG!!!

The objective of this jam is to create a horror experience within a month. 

Rules:

• You must only use assets, code, and such that you are legally allowed to use.
• If you are using "Third Party" content (stuff you didn't make yourself), you must share somewhere on the game's page what you used and link to the original creator if at all possible.
• Teams are allowed
• For the duration of the voting period, your game must be available for free to allow your competitors to vote on it, afterwards you are free to sell your game at any price you desire
• You must make a majority of the game's content within the duration of this jam. That means no repackaging an older game. But if you have a decent code library you wanna work off of, that's fine as long as the actual content of the game is what you make during the jam.
• You must release to Web (HTML5) or two desktop platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux). This is to ensure users of different operating systems are able to play your game with minimal effort. Bonus points if you can release to all three!

Ranking Criteria:

• How scary was it?
  • Out of five stars, was it scary? Did you jump? Scream? Fall out of your seat??

• Graphics

• Audio

• Narrative

• Uniqueness

  • How unique is what you made? Is it just a cheap knockoff of an existing game or did you really make something different?

Rewards???

While this jam doesn't really have any rewards to speak of, you now have made a game you own the full rights to. Do with that what you will!

Also I (QueenOfSquiggles) love to do let's plays for indie games, especially horror games. I'm hoping to pick some of my favourites from this jam to do "Let's Play" videos with, so if you think of that as a reward.....
