Welcome to Indie City Jams!

Indie City Jams is a series of (usually) monthly game jams, hosted in-person in Chicago by Indie City Games! Participants are invited to join us in person for a day of jamming and collaboration over the course of a seven-hour jam.

Video game and tabletop entries alike are welcome!

Venue

This month's jam will be generously sponsored by and held at Prism Games in Avondale! The jam will run from 12:30 PM to 7:30 PM CST, along with an additional hour for trying each other's projects after! Participants are allowed to bring or order food to the venue.

 We ask that you respect Prism Games' Code of Conduct while participating.

If participating in person, please be sure to bring any equipment you'll require to participate effectively- laptop and and any peripherals if making a video game, or any physical supplies you might need for a tabletop game. 

We'll also be supplying various supplies for paper prototyping and those designing tabletop games, so feel free to hop in even if all you can bring is yourself!

Can't make it in person or just not in Chicago? Feel free to participate online!

Consider setting up a blank page on itch.io for your project before the jam to help save yourself some time!

12:30 PM - Theme announcement, jam starts! We'll run a quick speed-meet session for anyone looking for potential teammates.

1:00 PM - Recommended time to start work on your project by.

4:00 PM - Recommended break! Step back, check out other people's work in progress, and grab some food! (Or just keep jamming away, that works too)

7:00 PM - Recommended time to step back and set up your itch page if you haven't yet.

7:30 PM - Jam ends! Take a step back, and hang out afterwards to check out other people's projects!

• Gore and other more graphic content are acceptable, we just ask that any entries containing particularly sensitive elements be flagged accordingly. 
• No NSFW content.
