Impact Game Jam is a creative lab that brings together youth, artists, developers and changemakers to build narrative-driven digital or physical games with a social and environmental purpose.
You can participate in either of the parts:
Artists can choose to submit exhibition pieces (e.g., illustration, posters) for public display, OR create game-ready assets (2D, 3D, UI) that mimic real-world game pipelines and will be used in Part 2: Game Jam.

Developers will use the submitted assets to create digital or physical games that bring environmental systems and stories to life through play.

In 2025, Impact Game Jam explores the theme of Singapore's marine and coastal ecosystems, with a spotlight on two of its most critical habitats: mangrove forests and seagrass meadows.
Participants are invited to explore the ecological relationships, species interdependence, and environmental challenges within these systems.

Part 2: Game Jam is the game development phase of the IGJ 2025. It invites creators of all skill levels to build playable prototypes that respond to this year's environmental theme, inviting participants to use community-submitted assets from Part 1: Art Jam.
Teams can choose to develop either digital games or physical formats such as board and card games.
By working with pre-submitted art, developers will explore how to adapt and elevate shared creative assets.
