Game Jam is open for High-School, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Level students only

General Rules

  • You may use any game engine of your choosing
  • Any assets used that are not your own must be properly credited
  • Your game must not contain any violence or nudity
  • Although the iLRN 2022 conference focuses on immersive technologies for learning, your game need not be in XR (although it can be!)
  • Theme will be announced during the G.I.CON Conference on Friday 24th June [Online on Virbela iLRN and YouTube link.

TEAMS

  1. This is a team-based jam [not solo or two-students work]. Teams can be formed from same university or mixed universities
  2. Teams can be between 3-7 students
  3. The team leader will need to join the game jam via itch.io (representing the team). All team members will need to be registered as a team on our Discord channel and provide details of their teams affiliations (e.g.: John Murray, University of London, Team: Pythons)
  4. Teams and all team members will need to join our Student network events on 24th June (see website on G.I.CON Below) for the start of the conference and release of theme details same-day afternoon.

VR Tools

  • If your team decides to use VR to build your game, you will need to use on the following VR tools (these are the only available choice at this point for judgement due to covid accessibility)
      1. HTC VIVE
      2. Oculus Rift
      3. Oculus Quest
      4. Microsoft Hololens 2 (for MR Project)
