Overview
Strap your games into HYPLAY, a free and rapidly growing network of games within a shared ecosystem of 1M+ players. HYPLAY provides access to a robust identity system and a suite of developer tools that streamline your app's distribution, growth, and development.
In order to submit, you must join the jam on Itch AND register for the Jam in the HYPLAY Discord.
Existing Games are Welcome:
Developers can use their existing games or create a new game from scratch. Must be web / playable in-browser / mobile (no downloads). There is no limit to the number of games you submit to the jam — as long as the game is "indie" and has not received external funding or prize money.
Integration with HYPLAY:
Using HYPLAY auth flows ("Login/Register to HYPLAY") is very similar to building with "Log in with Discord" or "Log in with Facebook. View the Dev Quickstart in Our Discord
- *Required* Implement HYPLAY's single sign-on (SSO) and authentication flows, making it easy for players to log in and sign out with HYPLAY
- *Optional* HYPLAY also offers a free JSON Database Storage system that simplifies a number of complexities, like handling persisted user data. This is a quick go-to option that replaces the need in many cases for spinning up your own database for game or app data! It's very fast and designed to be highly scalable.
Grants, Funding, and Publishing Support
Submissions ranked from 1st to 5th Place will split a $25,000 prize pool and all submissions will be considered for dedicated publishing and featured distribution opportunities, grants and funding, and access to our 1M+ player community. Additionally, every judge is offering a 1-1 strategy call to hand-selected games or talent
Among the judges are VC/Fund managers, content creators, and executive game leaders, such as Kevin Lambert whose games have reached 1,000,000,000+ players (not a typo), including his role as head of design for Microsoft Solitaire Collection, which was inducted into the World Video Game Hall of Fame in 2019.
