The MegaGameJam has been an incredible month of amazing Hypes. Huge thanks to everyone who’s joined us for the biggest game jam yet in HypeHype! Submissions are closed and now begins the epic task of selecting winners!

It’s been super fun to see so many creators sharing awesome, jaw dropping Hypes! With so much Hype to take in we have our work cut out for us. We’re going to take 2 weeks to play through your creations and select our favorites.

Winners will be announced on a Special MegaGameJam Stream coming to you on Tuesday June 15th.

Tell Us Your Favorites for the Player’s Choice Awards

While we pick our favorites you have a chance to tell us yours and all you gotta do is play your favorite hypes! Our numbers wizards won’t tabulate the final results for the Player’s Choice Awards until the judges have made all their selections so you have 2 weeks to like, comment, share, and play your favorite Hypes to help decide which ones will be crowned the People’s Champs!

Thanks again for joining us for this Jam. You’ve helped make this the biggest and best jam in HypeHype yet! We can’t wait to jump in and play all of your creations.

MegaGameJam - $10 000 Prize Pool

Biggest HypeHype game jam to date celebrates all indie game makers, players and Frogmind's new game creation platform HypeHype. 

We have several different game jam categories, easy templates for to start from and a prize pool of $10 000! 

Build a game or many games in May by using Frogmind's new HypeHype platform. It works on all devices, no coding required! 

All games (Hypes) published on HypeHype during May 1 - 31 will be eligible for the MegaGameJam!

No game jam registrations or complicated submission processes required. 

Simply create your dream game or many games with HypeHype’s editor tools and publish your creation(s) anytime during May!

Creators can publish as many games as they wish, and this way have more chances to win in different categories. 

There are a total of 7 different prize categories and a prize pool of $10 000. Games (Hypes) may qualify and win in multiple categories.

A free HypeHype account is required to publish games on HypeHype.

Once you are finished with your game creation, just hit publish and your game is instantly playable and shareable

The HypeHype Editor has a built in chat that allows creators to ask questions and have discussions without leaving the app. 

Need a little help? Ask the chat. Need a new game making asset? Ask the chat. Just tap the chat icon in the Editor to open the Editor Chat.

There’s also an Editor Wiki built into the editor and HypeHype platform. Tap question mark icons to access the Wiki. The Wiki is regularly being updated with new documentation, guides and tutorials. And more tutorials can be found from HypeHype YouTube channel.

The HypeHype Discord Server is another great place to connect with other creators and HypeHype developers to chat about the app, creating and so much more.

We also stream weekly from Frogmind studio in Helsinki, starting at 5pm EEST (Eastern European Summer Time) on https://www.twitch.tv/hypehype_gameapp.

Grand Jury Hype Prize

These are the best overall Hypes (games) as selected by our panel of Judges. 

Technical & creative aspects like gameplay mechanics, visual & sound design and the logic taking place behind the scenes will be important factors but it’s also about finding that precious balance of ideas to create a unique, memorable, fun experience for players. 

These prizes are for the games that 🤯.

🏆 First Place - $1000 

  🏅 Runners Up (x2) - $500

Hype Playlists

Creators can string together a series of Hypes (games) to create a continued experience, like levels in a game or different rooms in a dungeon. 

To qualify for this category creators have to publish 3 or more Hypes, all published as a Playlist, that combine to create 1 joint experience. 

Take advantage of the HypeHype's Playlist feature to create something that couldn’t be done in a single Hype.

Radical Remixes

Any game in HypeHype can be remixed and every game is remixed from something. Some remixes change a little, some change a lot! 

This prize is for the Hypes (games) that go HAM on a remix and create something unrecognizable from the original Hype. 

Bend, deconstruct and remold a Hype into something new and exciting to amaze the players!

🏆 First Place - $500 

  🏅 Runners Up (x4) - $250

Next Level

Ever wanted to make a new level for your favorite game? Choose any Hype (game) and create a new level for it to win this prize. 

Use the features and elements of the original to create a fun, new, memorable experience that feels like it could be another level in the same game.

This is a great challenge for new creators still getting a feel for the editor tools.

Coffee Break Remix

It really doesn’t have to take a lot of effort to make a new game in HypeHype if you Remix.

With remixing it’s possible to make games in no time, even while taking a short break from work or school (😎)! 

Sometimes a few simple changes can make a big difference in play experience. 

For this prize our judges are looking for the Hypes that make the most impact with the least amount of effort.

My First Hype!

We’ve all gotta start somewhere and trying to make a game for the first time. Why not take a chance at winning some cash in the process? 

Publish your first Game (Hype) during May to be eligible for this prize. 

Whether you remix another Hype or try to create something from an scratch, our judges just want to see that passion and effort was made to try out the tools and create something own and unique.

Player’s Choice

Community decides Player's Choice by playing and engaging with the games (Hypes).

Our data wizards will calculate several engagement metrics incl. game likes, comments, shares, plays & playtime to determine the winners. 

TIP! To improve your Hype’s virality share your game with family &friends, stream on Twitch or post a video to YouTube, use approriate hashtags (#hypehype #megagamejam) in social media, submit game to the Itchio jam page and promote it on the HypeHype Discord!

Anything can improve your chances of being seen and played by more players. 

The top 5 Hypes will be awarded this prize.
