Welcome to HypeHype Game Jam
To celebrate the global announcement of HypeHype we are presenting an all new 3 week Hype Jam for Early Access Creators of all skill levels. The HypeHype Game Jam features 3 categories with 15 individual prizes as well as 30 winners in a lottery for new creators sharing their first Hype. Join the growing community of HypeHype Creators, make your first game and you could win.
Rules & Guidelines
Build a game or many games with HypeHype by using your mobile phone, tablet or web browser. No coding required.
To qualify Hypes must be created during the Jam, starting November 25th at 14:00 UTC and be published before the deadline of 12:00 UTC on December 16th, 2021.
Use the hashtag #HypeHypeGameJam in the description of your Hype or Playlist.
Creators are welcome to submit multiple entries in any category.
A single creator can win multiple prizes but no more than one prize per category.
A Hype or Playlist cannot win in multiple categories.
All first Hypes published during the Jam will be entered into the My First Hype lottery.
A free HypeHype creator account is required to publish games on HypeHype. Get access at hypehype.com!
All submissions are expected to follow the official HypeHype Community Guidelines.
How to Enter
Game making
Build your game(s) using HypeHype, a new game creation platform from HypeHype Inc (developers of BADLAND)! Get early access at hypehype.com! Once you are finished with your game creation just hit publish and your game is instantly playable and shareable to the world!
Deadline to publish: 12:00 UTC on December 16th, 2021
Prizes
The HypeHype Game Jam has a total of $7500 prize pool that is shared between the 4 different categories and 45 potential indie dev winners. Complete prize breakdown below.
Judging
Entries will be judged by HypeHype Inc developers. Entries in all categories will be judged on:
Game Design - Is the gameplay enjoyable? Are the challenges interesting?
Visual Design - How does it look? Do the visuals match the gameplay and other elements?
Sound Design - Sounds and music can add a lot to a game and really help them stand out.
Technical Execution - Are the gameplay mechanics well done? Are there any changes and improvements made to game logic and how? Is custom logic well optimized?
Polish - Use of additional features like haptics or social features to create a well rounded experience for players.
Meta Data & Hashtags - Give your creation a good name & description. Select appropriate interest categories. Use appropriate hashtags in addition to #HypeHypeGameJam
What is HypeHype?
HypeHype is a new destination for game makers, indie devs and players. Create and play games for free on any device - your phone, tablet or web browser.
You can build games with the mobile-first editor tools that require no coding. Craft anything you like using high-quality 3D assets, characters, sounds and add-ons. You can build games quicker than ever before with Remixing, simply using other games as a starting point.
Once you are finished with your game, just hit publish and your game becomes instantly playable on all devices!

The HypeHype Editor has a built in chat that allows creators to ask questions and have discussions without leaving the app. Need a little help? Ask the chat. Need a new asset? Ask the chat! Just want to say hi? You can do that too. Tap the chat icon in the Editor to open the Editor Chat. There’s also an Editor Wiki built into the editor. Tap question mark icons to access the wiki. The wiki is regularly being updated with new documentation, guides and tutorials.
The HypeHype Discord Server is another great place to connect with other creators and HypeHype developers to chat about the app, creating and so much more.

Prize Breakdown
Hype Playlist
With the playlist feature in HypeHype, creators can combine multiple Hypes (games) to create a continued experience, like levels in a game or different rooms in a dungeon. To qualify for this category creators have to publish 3 or more Hypes that combine to create 1 joint experience. Take advantage of the Playlist features to create something that couldn’t be done in a single Hype.
5 Winners - $400
Remix +
Some people like to create something completely new when they Remix a Hype. This category is for Hypes that bend and twist their parent Hype into a completely different experience. Hypes remixed from the empty template are also eligible for a Remix + prize.
5 Winners - $300
Hype Remix
Any game in HypeHype can be remixed and every game is remixed from something. There are many ways to make a remix. Build a game based on a template, make a new level for a Hype you enjoyed, or just change some colors and assets to give a fun game a new feel. It doesn’t need to take big changes to make a big impact when you remix.
