Welcome to the Hidden Lore Jam, a game jam all about making a game with more than meets the eye.

- Make a game within the given time. Submitting to and participating in multiple game jams is allowed, just as long as the majority of the game is made during the jam period.
- You may work alone or in teams. There is no team size limit.
- You can use whatever engine you'd like
- A windows or web build is required, although supporting other platforms is recommended
- Games must be playable with keyboard or mouse
- Gen AI is NOT allowed for this jam
- You can use premade assets as long as you have legal right to use them and you credit properly
- NSFW is not allowed, this means no sexual content, excessive gore or any hateful content (you are allowed to talk about dark subject matter within reason of course)
- THEME: How well does the game fit the theme? Is the game's overall take on the theme interesting or unique?
- VISUALS: How well do the visuals complement the game? Is is consistent? Is it pretty?
- GAMEPLAY: How interesting and well made was the game part of the game?
- AUDIO: How well did the game use audio? Does the audio fit the game?
- LORE: How well crafted is the lore/story? How well implemented is the lore?
- OVERALL: This is the end all be all ranking, how good was the game overall?
For clarity this is a jam all about making a game with a hidden story, it can be any genre and have any story just as long as it's (for whatever reason) hidden away. Your game does not need to be an ARG, while it posses a fun challenge it's not required.
