How To Join:
Simply show up to the first meeting, and start making your game! Don't worry if you have never made a game before, we will be there to help you. At the end of the jam, make sure to submit your game to this page if you want to be considered for prizes.
Timeline:
- December 3rd: Info session in Room 121 at lunch
- December 9th: Game jam starts, and the theme is announced
- December 9th-11th: game dev sessions in Room 121 at lunch. On the 11th, there is also a session after school in room 309, with free pizza!
- December 16th: Game jam ends
- December 17th: Winners are announced, and prizes are given out (in Room 121 at lunch)

Rules:
- Your game must be school appropriate
- You must not start making your game until the game jam starts
- Your game must be playable somehow on our computers. We cannot judge a game that can only be played on your laptop!
- Your team must be made of 1-4 Heart Lake students
- Your game must be made entirely by your team. Pre-made assets like art or code libraries are allowed, but must be noted in the "Assets Used" field when you submit your game.
Judging Criteria:
Your game will be judged by a panel of Hack Club execs, on the following three criteria.
- Creativity - How unique and interesting your idea is, and how well it fits the theme
- Gameplay - How in-depth your game is, and how fun it is to play
- Art - How good the visuals and sound effects are in your game
If your game is unfinished, feel free to submit it anyway! An unfinished game is better than no game.
