THEME: Trick or Treat

Hello everyone, welcome to our Halloween game jam, the theme will be shown here when the jam starts. Have a good time and we hope to see some wonderful games.

This is our first Holiday themed game jam and for this we are in collaboration with the CSS society.

Just some quick things to note before diving in. Please read this as it is important info!

Rules:

• Each entrant can only submit one game.
• You can update your submission any number of times during the submission period.
• After the submission period ends, you will no longer be allowed to modify or change your submission.
  • However, you will be allowed to continue updating the itch.io page associated with your submission during the voting period
• The submission period will run from 12pm on the 21st to 6pm on the 31th (246 hours)
• The voting period will run from 6pm on the 31th to 6pm on the 5th (120 hours)
• The winner of the game jam is decided based on overall score.
  • The winner will be granted a £20 giftcard of their choice (Steam, Playstation, Xbox, Switch etc.)
• You can use any game engine or tools to create your game, however please try to avoid the usage of AI during development.
• You can use existing code and assets but please make sure you create the bulk of your game within the time designated.
• Feel free to work with others in a group but not more than one, and of course, you can create on  your own, Just Have fun.
• Regarding group Creations: Prize money will be split evenly.

Scoring:

• Games will be rated on 4 criteria:
• Fun factor - how fun the game is to play
• Theming - how closely the game sticks to the given theme
• Creativity - how creative and unique the game idea is
• Presentation - how good the game looks, sounds and presents its main ideas

There will also be an overall score that is based on the 4 criteria above. The winner will be determined by this overall score.
