About the Game Jam:

Dive into a world of creativity and collaboration at the HACKStair Game Jam! Set in the heart of picturesque central Switzerland, this 24-hour challenge invites all, from seasoned developers to creative enthusiasts, to come together and bring their game ideas to life.

Though the Game Jam is a standalone challenge, it's part of HACKStair's larger event, featuring programming and hacking competitions. 

Choose the Game Jam and create a fun game with like-minded enthusiasts! At the end of the jam, all games will be judged and each winner will be able to choose a prize from the prize pool. Prizes are guaranteed for the first spot team and will be given out as long as there are prizes.

The Challenge:

Unleash your creativity and team up to design a game based on a provided theme. Regardless of your expertise level, here's your chance to turn a concept into a playable reality. Can your team create the most fun or innovative game? 
The Theme will be voted on at the start of the Jam, so make sure to be there!

• What is a Game Jam? A space to ideate and create a game around a provided theme. Teams (2-4 members) pool their ideas and expertise to develop a game as engaging and entertaining as possible.
• Entry Fee? Absolutely free!

• Food Arrangements? We’ve got you covered! Free food, snacks, and drinks for all attendees.
• Coding Experience? Worry not! Whether you're a beginner or pro, all are welcome. Tools like Scratch can be used with basic coding knowledge or you can even make a board game.
• Laptop Requirement? Yes, participants need to bring their own laptop.
• Team Size? Teams comprise 2 to 4 members. You can form a team at the start, so those coming solo, fear not!

Submission Rules: 

Game must have been made within the 24 Hour timeframe - no premade Games!

On the Itch-Io Page of your game or within the ZIP there must be a small explanation of the game with controls
