Hacking Game Jam

Welcome to Hacking Game Jam — a game development challenge focused on hacking, cybersecurity, terminals, networks, digital espionage, cyberpunk, and the hidden world behind the screen.

Create a game in which the player can become a hacker, security researcher, cyber detective, system administrator, digital spy, or even an artificial intelligence trying to escape from a secured network.

Your game can explore themes such as:

  • hacking and cybersecurity
  • terminals and command-line interfaces
  • network infiltration
  • social engineering
  • cryptography and puzzles
  • malware analysis
  • digital investigation
  • cyberpunk worlds
  • artificial intelligence
  • surveillance and privacy
  • defending systems against attacks
  • fictional underground hacker communities

The game can be realistic, arcade-style, strategic, educational, humorous, or completely experimental.

You can create a terminal simulator, puzzle game, strategy game, roguelike, visual novel, management game, adventure game, or something nobody has ever seen before.

The main rule is simple:

Make hacking interesting.

Real-world hacking knowledge is welcome, but games should remain fictional and should not require players to attack real systems or services.

Build something clever, strange, atmospheric, and fun.

Access granted. Terminal online. Your mission starts now.
