Welcome to the first Grumbismal Jam! Game jams will be held biweekly (once every two weeks) and judged 24 hours after submissions end. These jams are intended for people of all skill ranges and focus more on creativity and uniqueness than technical skill. Rules and themes vary from jam to jam, see below for more information! All entries will be played live on our Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/grumbismalgames.

All of our game jams are judged based on a few different factors, as described below.

Theme: How well does the game fit into the theme? How creative is the game's interpretation of the theme? If absolutely no connection can be found to the theme, the game may be disqualified. (10 possible points)
Challenges: Each jam has three unique challenges - these are entirely optional, but adhering to these challenges gives bonus points. The better the implementation and execution of the challenge, the higher the score. (10 possible points per challenge)
Innovation: How unique and creative is the game overall? (20 possible points)
Gameplay: How fun is the game to play? (20 possible points)
Bonus: Bonus points may be awarded for particularly attractive visuals, sound design/music, or story.
Rules: Games that do not adhere to the rules of the jam will be disqualified.
