Welcome to the Flinders Games Research Lab's Mid year jam!! This is a week long jam that takes place in the Flinders university mid year break and is open to all university students/graduates in South Australia!

Rules & Restrictions

What can I submit?

For this jam, we will accept finished games, game assets, concept art, original music, and playable demos! If you have an idea for something outside of this, feel free to contact us through the discord or make a community post with your question!

Submitted jam entries must be created specifically for the jam. Please specify this in the description of your entry! Entries created outside the timeframe of the jam will be removed.

You are permitted to use external assets from sources such as the unity or unreal asset stores, or other external sources, as long as full credit is provided in your submissions description & you have received relevant permissions!

Who can participate

University students and graduates in South Australia, including but not limited to Flinders university & CDW, AIE, Uni Adelaide, UniSA, TAFE etc. Your area of study does not have to align with game development or the arts either, all students are permitted!

If some of your team mates aren't students/graduates that is okay, as long as the majority of your team is!

Content Rules

AI generated content is not permitted in this jam. Jam entries containing AI content and any related work will be removed. This includes AI generated imagery, audio, programming etc. Do not use generative AI in the production of your project.

Content must be respectful of others and provide trigger warnings where applicable. Avoid excessive gore and sexual content. Offensive material will not be tolerated.
