Dearest friends,
I wish you a good evening! This is Goyle van Dickens typing from a rather uncomfortable chair for you to hopefully read!
Now, just like the large chap pointing at me with a weapon insists, I shall cut right to the point: I seem to have gotten myself in a quite unpleasant situation. You see, I seem to have found myself at the hands of extremists! One could say, I'm extremely distressed. Just a little joke for you!
Coming back to my previous point, I may have promised a couple of very influential people that I could bring them the best entertainment that the world has ever seen. And here this is where you come in friends.
I propose to you, a Game Derby, wherein teams compete for the title of Greatest Achievement in Manufacturing Entertainment, or G.A.M.E. for all of you young fellers out there.
There shall also be a moderate prize for the winner, as I am currently in what you could call a mild poverty.
The rules shall be as follows:
1. You may participate alone or in a small team (each team shall have a maximum of 1 programmer; only one of the teammates has to join the online itch.io jam)
2. You shall not copy the works of other craftsmen (except of course pieces of art, music or small algorithms; everything you have not created yourself will have to be credited at the end)
3. At the beginning of the derby you will receive a couple of keywords that will represent the theme you will have to adhere to. Each team will have a couple of randomized keywords, as well as one common keyword that every team will have.
4. You may use any tool in the creation of your entertainment piece.
The competition shall begin on the 12th of September at 18:00 and end on the 15th of September at 18:00.
I hope I have managed to spike your interest, otherwise I might get quite literally spiked! There I go again with the joking!
Yours sincerely,
Goyle van Dickens
