We are GDG aka Google Developers Group On Campus, a Student Tech Community at Cebu Technological University - Main Campus that promotes learning, collaboration, and engagement in technology.

We are thrilled to invite you to our very FIRST ever game jam! whether you're a beginner or even if you've never made a game before this is your chance! It's always the first step that is the hardest so take your first step here! 

What is a Game Jam?

A Game Jam is a short event where you and others work together to create a small game. There are usually restrictions on the kinds of games you can make, typically centered around a theme. GameJams are incredibly helpful for developing new skills, refining your ability to estimate workload, network with other creators, and contain scope. Even more importantly, they help you build relationships with other people who are passionate about making games.

Jammers will have 1 week to produce a viable game for submission based on the Theme that you will have to follow, 

Theme is Revealed:

All games submitted and eligible for judgment will be played with a full analysis breakdown and discussion to help all of us become better developers.

🗳️Voting

After submission phase ends is the Voting Phase where you and other Jammers can vote on each other's games based on these criteria: 

• 🎯 Theme        - How well does the game interpret and embody the jam’s theme?
• 🕹️ Gameplay     - Is the game fun, engaging, and intuitive to play?
• ⛓️‍💥Originality    - Does the game offer something fresh?
• 🖼️ Graphics     - How well do the visuals support the game’s tone and experience? 
• 🔊 Audio        - Does the sound design enhance immersion and gameplay?

After Voting Phase will show the results. Everyone will get the chance to have their game played and criticized so you can gain insight and improve your Game Development skills.

🏆Prizes

 IMPORTANT GEOGRAPHICAL NOTE: Physical prizes (Lanyards and Pins) can only be given to winners located in Cebu, Philippines. All winners will receive an E-Certificate (digital certificate). Only One Person can win the prize for Nitro/Lanyard/Button Pin so keep that in mind if you're with a team.

What are the Rules?

While we encourage creativity and innovation, we also expect participants to adhere to the following guidelines:

• Follow the terms of service for itch.
• No NSFW content allowed.
• Teams must consist of no more than five members.
• Notify your team in advance if you need to withdraw.
• Respect other participants; sabotage will not be tolerated.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Violating any of these rules will disqualify you from judgment.
