Welcome to the Good Horror Jam, hosted by Minns!

Don't let the name fool you: the theme of this jam is NOT horror! We want to challenge your creativity to build something completely unexpected. Get your minds ready, as the official theme will only be revealed on the day the event starts!

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Schedule

  • Theme Reveal & Jam Start: July 8th, 2026
  • Submission Deadline: August 1st, 2026
  • Voting Period: August 1st, 2026 to August 20th, 2026.

๐Ÿšซ Content Rules & AI Guidelines

To ensure a fair and safe environment for everyone, please strictly follow these rules:

  • AI Usage: The use of Artificial Intelligence is allowed for coding only. It is strictly prohibited to use AI for the finalization of the project, including conceptual art, 2D/3D assets, music, sound effects, and the game's cover/thumbnail. We want to see your own craftsmanship shine!
  • No NSFW Content: Games containing sexually explicit content will be disqualified immediately.
  • Gore & Violence: No excessive gore. If your game contains blood or moderate elements of violence, you must include a Content Warning (CW) both on your game's description page and at the very beginning of the gameplay.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Team Guidelines & Credits

  • Team Size: You can participate solo or in teams of up to 10 people.
  • Credits Requirement: To ensure proper recognition, the description page of your submitted game must include the names/usernames of all team members who worked on the project.

What engines can I use? Any engine you like! Unity, Unreal, Godot, RPG Maker, Construct, Twine, or even your own custom engine. The only requirement is that the game must be playable (preferably WebGL or Windows).

Where will the theme be revealed? The theme will be announced right here on the jam page and on our [Link to Discord/Social Media, if any] on July 8th, 2026.

Can I use premade assets? Yes! You can use free or paid assets (sprites, 3D models, music, SFX) as long as you have the legal right to use them and you credit the creators. However, remember that AI-generated assets are strictly forbidden.

Good luck to all developers! Let's create something amazing (and not scary at all)! ๐Ÿš€
