The Godot Rumble is an exciting and fast-paced event where game developers and enthusiasts come together to create a game from scratch in just three hours. It's an excellent opportunity to test your skills, challenge yourself creatively, and collaborate with other developers.

The Godot Engine is a popular game engine used for developing 2D and 3D games. It's free and open-source, making it accessible to developers of all skill levels. During the game jam, participants will use Godot Engine to create their game based on a specific theme.

The theme for the Godot Rumble is announced at the start of the event. The theme is designed to be open-ended, allowing participants to interpret it in their own unique way. It's a chance to flex your creativity and come up with something truly original.

The theme could be anything from a specific word or phrase to a broad concept or idea. Participants will have just three hours to create their game based on the theme.

This Jam's Theme is:

Madness Everywhere

After the three hours are up, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their games to the other participants and judges. Each game will be rated based on several criteria, including:

  • Originality: How unique and creative is the game?
  • Execution: How well is the game designed and developed?
  • Fun Factor: How enjoyable is the game to play?

The judges will then select the top games based on their ratings and announce the winners.

To participate in the Godot Rumble, participants must follow the following rules:

  • The game must be developed using the Godot Engine.
  • Participants may work solo or in teams.
  • The game must be completed within three hours. (You can brainstorm before the time.)
  • Participants must use assets that are either free or legally licensed.
  • The game must be submitted on time to be considered for judging.

These rules are designed to ensure a fair and fun competition for all participants. It's important to note that while the event is competitive, it's also meant to be a fun and collaborative experience. Participants are encouraged to help each other out and share their knowledge and skills.
