Welcome to Gills first game jam!
The theme for this game jam is... SECRET
yes the theme is actually the word SECRET :)
The game jam will start at 13:30 on friday the 10th in D105 so make sure to show up a bit before to be able to check in your team in time!
During the gamejam we from Gills will make sure to always be present in the computer rooms when the school is open and on saturday at 15:00 we will be giving out free fika to everyone participating! You're more than welcome to work on the game from home too but we wont be present then or take responsibility for if you dont sleep.
Once the time is up there will be a short period where you will get to setup your games in the computer rooms in the D building and prepare for the playtest! During which youre welcome to play each others games and discuss them, our judges(DSU teachers) will also be present and try your games. After all the playtesting we will be heading to D105 again for the award ceremony where we will hand out some fun prizes to you all!
- Be nice and respectful to each other!
- No generative ai allowed during the gamejam.
- No nsfw or hateful content allowed in the gamejam!
- Max 10 people per team.
- Game must be made between the start and finish time of the game jam.
- No bribing the teachers!
Where will the game jam take place?
- We will be at the university in the D building during all of the game jam! We will start and finish up in D105 and during the gamejam hanging out and making games in the computer rooms in the floors above. You're more than welcome to work on the game at home and its not obligatory at all to be present during the "working" period of the game jam, but it would be fun to see you there!
How big or small can the teams be?
- Your team can be made up of just you or up to 9 other people. Team sizes of 1-10 are allowed and we even have a prize dedicated just to the smaller teams!
Is there a limit when it comes to participants in the game jam?
- No! We welcome as many as possible, the more the merrier!! Ofcourse that comes with the risk of too many people but we would just see that as a big success then and try to find a solution that works!
Does the game jam have a theme?
- Yes it does!! The theme will be revealed when the gamejam officially begins. We will be updating this page aswell as revealing the theme during the opening presentations on friday 10th at 13:30.
