๐Ÿ’Ž Welcome to our first ever Gem Jam! ๐Ÿ’Ž

This jam isnโ€™t just for coders or artists; itโ€™s for anyone who helps make games happen. Producers, QA, writers, audio designers, marketers, analysts, community folks — all of you are welcome!

Hosted by HiddenGem.

๐Ÿ’Ž What can I submit? ๐Ÿ’Ž

Your submission just needs to be interactive and show off your craft. It doesnโ€™t have to run in a game engine — it could live in Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, Notion, Figma, audio files, or any other tool you love. ๐Ÿ’™

Examples include:

  • A video game in a conventional engine like Unreal, Unity, Godot, etc.
  • A branching story told in a Google Doc
  • A โ€œchaos simulatorโ€ in Google Sheets where you manage a production schedule
  • A podcast-style experience using voice recordings and sound effects in a branching playlist or podcast format (โ€œIf you open the door, go to track 5…โ€)
  • A โ€œbug-huntโ€ adventure built in Figma or Google Slides where players must interact with a mock game interface to find hidden bugs or errors
๐Ÿ’Ž Theme ๐Ÿ’Ž

The theme is...

All the best!

๐Ÿ’Ž Rules ๐Ÿ’Ž

This jam is meant to be a fun experience for everyone participating and playing your submissions! Please keep the following in mind:

  1. Theme Paladin: Use the theme, of course :)
  2. Toymaker Elite: Your submission needs to be interactive in some form.
  3. Improv Master: You can use minor pre-existing content, but most of your project should be built during the jam window.
  4. Crowd Sourcer: No restrictions on team size — just credit everyone on your game page and include Discord usernames if possible.
  5. Captain Finisher: Once voting begins, updates wonโ€™t be possible, so sit back and enjoy othersโ€™ submissions!
  6. Book Keeper: Give proper credit to any external assets used.
  7. Chiller Supreme: Avoid strong language, excessive gore, and other NSFW or hateful content.
  8. Great Gambler: You can submit more than one project.
  9. Serial Prompter: If you use AI, mention the purposes it was used for. We encourage using HiddenGem to find talented teammates!
  10. Relax Maxxer: Drink water, and have fun!

  4. If your game is hosted on an external website, you can click "Add External File" on the upload page and fill out the corresponding details.

๐Ÿ’Ž Voting and Judging ๐Ÿ’Ž

Once the jamโ€™s submission period ends, all projects will be open for community voting. Youโ€™ll be able to vote only if youโ€™ve submitted or contributed to a project.

The voting categories will be: Art, Audio, Story, Gameplay, and Creativity.

Judges will also score entries on some secret categories, (like Rage-Bait, Cozy, Memey etc.) — so keep those creative juices flowing!

All highly ranked submissions will be featured here, and on LinkedIn, so you can show them off everywhere! ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ ๐Ÿ“ฃ
Bonus:
They will also be featured on the HiddenGem Discord, so the studios in our network get to see your projects!
