Welcome to the GDS Week 7 Jam!
The theme is Revolutions!
A massive thank you to Michael Barclay from Naughty Dog for announcing the theme for us.
The Jam will predominantly take place inside Abertay University, in rooms 1519 and 1520, where PC's will be provided. Can't make it? No worries, just grab an off site ticket and be sure to submit your Game to the Itch page before the deadline.
The theme will be announced during our Thursday meeting at 18:00. We will then assist people looking for teams to find them, and be around to answer any questions you might have. You'll be welcome to start working on your game then, but our rooms in Abertay are available from Friday at 6PM.
Hand-in to our Itch Jam page will end on Sunday at 4 and the Play Party will start at 5, giving us all time for a quick nap. Even if you don't make the Jam, come to the Play Party to see the cool stuff people have made!
We're not making any strict rules for the Jam, use your own judgement on whats appropriate and what isn't, but we will be banning anything we believe is out of order. And of course, be nice to each other!

Frequently asked questions and comments;
-I'm only a first year and haven't made any Games yet.
There's a first time for Everything! Joining the jam gives you a chance to see how to get started from people who've been where you've been, as well as giving you a head start on your Peers.
-I feel like I'd just be a hindrance to my team.
We all have our own strengths, do something which reflects yours! With the right communication you can always find a way to work your passion into a project, from writing a script, recording a song or some good old fashioned arts & crafts, get creative!
-Do I have to follow the theme?
It's generally expected that one follows the theme, but if you've got something your dying to try out, go for it! The last thing we want is for you to not be able to get passionate.
-Do I have to be there the whole time?
Of course not! You can come and go as you please within the open hours. Just make sure your team knows where you are and that you don't suddenly vanish.
-I've made a Game but I really don't want to show it.
We're not going to force anyone to show something they don't want to, but remember, its a judgement free event! Feedback from others is the best way to take what you have, and make it something special.
