What is a game jam?

Game Jams are events, where you will be given a theme and need to create a game in a small team during a fixed time period.

When does it take place?

The jam takes place from the 03.01.23 (Tuesday) to 06.01.23 (Friday). It is expected from you to work 3 out of these 4 days, this way you will be able to continue your normal life during this time, hopefully. Friday afternoon will be the showcases.

How will the teams be made?

They will be randomized, but if possible

• Minimum 1 coder per team
• 3 people per team
• Different study years
• People that prefer the same workplace

You cannot apply as a team! The idea is that you will get to work with people you ideally have never worked with and will not get any chance otherwise. This way you will know more people afterwards and have insights in how other people work.

But, if you absolutely will not participate without your team, please contact me and we can talk about it :)

Workplace

If teams want to work in the Atelier, I encourage them to do so! There is a question below where you can state if you‘d be willing to come to the Atelier of if you‘d rather work from home.

Theme & Genre

At the beginning of the Jam we will vote on a Theme and Genre, these will serve as a suggestion. But try to make a game out of these! They should serve as a starting point to develop your idea, if the game is something completely different at the end, it’s also fine ;).
