The GDSA Annual Game Jam is back again for the 2nd year online! Do you have what it takes to make an awesome game in just 48 hours?

About this Event

The GDSA Annual GDJam is taking place on October 8th at 7:00 pm to the 10th at 8:00 pm on the over our GDJam 21 community discord server!

A Game Jam is a 48-hour hackathon, in which you obtain a them and make a project based on it! You’ll get the theme the day of, and everyone will make a game based on their interpretation of the theme!

Remember that Game Jams are about learning first and foremost, we encourage people to join regardless of their skill level, because the best way to learn is to do!

Team sizes and members are completely up to you. Doing game jams solo or in teams or solo are fun either way!

Jam Rules

Being in community during the game jam creates an incredible environment where you can get help from your own team members and other jammers!

In the spirit of a traditional game, even though we're online, we're asking all participants to join our custom Discord server (which will be sent to your email). In this server you can talk to other participants, share your progress and more!

Game content is mostly up to you, please be advised that we do expect content to be tasteful and represent the GDSA and the OTSU well!

Self Care

We do not encourage crunch tactics, unhealthy sleep patterns or showerless weekends. Please take care of yourself during the game jam! Healthy development practices the key to successful development. At the GDSA, and we encourage our members to take care of themselves and their team first, and then worry about the game.
