GDGameJam 2026
GDGameJam 2026 is a 7-day Creation Challenge open to everyone alike be it beginners, intermediate or even experienced developers where they will create a game within the given time limit.
The Jam is broken into 2 phase, Jam Phase and Pitching Phase. Participants are required to create the game within the Jam Phase. After the Jam Phase is up, participants are required to attend GameFest at IIUM for their pitching phase which they will pitch their games in front of judges.

Each Team can have up to 3 members and is open to anyone regardless of age or education level
General Info
- All Participants are required to join the GDGameJam 2026 Discord channel for announcements, discussion, mentorship and tutoring during the Jam Phase
- Within the Discord Server there will be Mentors that serve as helpers if any participants have any questions to ask regarding things like Development, Design, etc.
- During the Jam Phase, there will also be talk sessions held every night to allow for continuous sharing from industry experts, mentors or even from experienced game devs
Rules & Regulations
- Theme will be revealed at the start of the Game Jam which is on 8th May 2026 at 8.00 AM
- Submissions must be done before 15th May, 8.00 AM
- No unauthorized third-party assets. Any use of external assets must have permission and is credited accordingly depending on the original creator
- No NSFW content. Content that is deemed 18+ is not allowed, please keep it clean :)
- No pre-made and pre-developed projects. All participants are required to create a game from scratch and not to use any existing projects.
- No usage of generative AI in assets. We strictly prohibit the use of AI generated content for assets which includes artwork, music, sound effects, voice acting and etc. This is to bring out the creativity from the participants.
- Have Fun ! The point of this jam is to gain experience and have fun as much as possible :)
