Q: I have never made a game before, what do I do?
A: The GB STUDIO discord is an incredible resource full of developers who will gladly help you create the game of your dreams.
Q: Do I have to make my game in GB STUDIO?
A: No! While making your game in GB Studio will automatically qualify it for the jam, games created in other engines which simply adhere to the visual styles of the GB/GBC are welcome too.
Q: I am not Queer/LGBTQIA+ identifying, can I still submit to this jam?
A: Of course! Find something related you can say. Maybe a queer person has had a big impact in your life, maybe you want to write a story with queer characters. as long as it is respectful, it is fair game!
1. Your game must be submitted within the allotted period.
2. Your game must be your own work. Fan games and works based on existing media are allowed but is not recommended. We want to hear your voice.
3: Credit any assets you used from asset libraries. These are helpful for new creators, but using them without credit is disrespectful to the original creators.
4: The use of AI in any form is strictly prohibited. If your submission is suspected to contain works created by AI programs, you will be asked to remove the offending materials or your submission will be eliminated.
5: Be respectful. Hateful works or those using derogatory language without justification will be eliminated. Works which contain derogatory language will be asked to justify it's inclusion and are expected to have content warnings.
