Welcome to the (as far as we know) world-first international varsity game jam!
(私たちの知る限り)世界初のインターナショナル大学対抗ゲームジャムへようこそ!
Teams from Gamma and Cu-Devs will have 48 hours to make a game from scratch, based on the theme below. Make sure to tune in by joining the Discord server: https://discord.gg/USyUSYZARu
There is no limit to the number of people who can make a game together in a team, but at least one member of each team must be a member of Gamma or CU-Devs. We encourage all members of a team to make itch.io accounts so they can vote on submissions by other teams. All teams must have a Team Name.
You may use whatever engine you like, but the final game must be playable in-browser on its own itch.io page. We recommend exporting your game from your engine in HTML5 format (there are plenty of good tutorials for this online).
The use of generative AI for programming is allowed, but please only use human-made assets (art and sounds). We think that the time-limited creativity of having to make everything yourself in a game jam is part of the fun.
Reusing assets freely available online, or from previous projects that you made yourself is fine, as is reusing sections of code. However, please don't submit previous or existing projects of yours in their entirety.
All games must be submitted before the end of the 48 hour deadline to be eligible for voting. They should be uploaded to their own itch.io page, for which you must provide a link on the submission page. All team members should have their itch.io accounts listed as "collaborators" during submission to make them eligible to vote.
We will be using the inbuilt voting system provided by itch.io. Only itch.io accounts that have submitted a game to the jam, or are listed as collaborators will be eligible to vote. When voting, each game will be evaluated from 1-5 on three criteria:
The society that wins the game jam overall will be the one that has the most highly-ranked games submitted by its members. Get ready to make your 48 hour masterpieces!
