Welcome to the Gamingle  Jam! 🎮🤝

This jam is a fun, low-pressure excuse to meet collaborators, make something cool, and give our new collab-finding site a proper workout: Gamingle.

✅ Team entries are encouraged (that’s the point!)
✅ Solo devs are absolutely welcome too
✅ Any engine, any genre, any skill level

How Gamingle works:

• You create a profile with your skills and the roles you can do (programming, art, music, writing, etc).
• You set what you’re looking for in a collaborator (e.g. “I’m a pixel artist looking for a programmer”).
• Gamingle shows you potential matches with a handy match percentage score so you can find people who fit.
• Link your previous work or portfolio to help your profile stand out.

Note:
Gamingle is not a job site. Our aim is to connect game dev creatives with others with a shared passion. It's great for hobbyists, game jams, or aspiring Indies just getting started.

Example:
You might be a pixel artist who doesn’t code, so you tell Gamingle you’re looking for a programmer. A programmer might be looking for a pixel artist. Boom - you meet, chat, and start a mutually beneficial creative friendship.

You can sign up using a Discord account, which makes getting started super quick.

Beta warning:
Gamingle is in active development, so you may run into rough edges or missing features. If something feels broken or confusing, please let us know - this jam is partly about stress-testing the beta.

Theme:
🔒 The theme will be revealed when the jam begins.

Rules:

• Make a game during the jam window. Small pre-made tools/libraries are fine.
• Teams or solo allowed. Teams are encouraged.
• Any engine, any platform. Browser builds are appreciated if you can.
• Credit teammates and third-party assets.
• Be respectful. No hate content or harassment.

Assets:

• Your own asset packs? ✅ Allowed
• Public domain / licensed assets? ✅ Allowed (credit them)
• AI-generated assets? ⚠️ Let's celebrate human creativity for now. AI will get their chance when they take over the world.

Submission requirements:

• Upload your game to itch and submit it to the jam.
• Include the line: “Made for the Gamingle Jam”
• If you found collaborators via Gamingle, feel free to mention it in your description (optional).
