GameUp Africa GameJam 2021 is a game development marathon with the objective of creating a game in 5 days! The jam will be unique because of the theme... A theme is a topic on which your game should be made in! The jam will follow this schedule: 

• September 29th (Wednesday, 10 am) - Theme reveal + Official Start
• October 3rd (Sunday, 11 pm) - End date & Submissions
• October 8th (Friday, 10 am) - Results

THEME

COLOURS OF AFRICA

(Create any game inspired by colours from the continent. Use lots of fun and beautiful colours in your game)

Your goal:
It is to create a game (as close as you can within the timeline) around the set theme while being original and creative.
 Learn new skills and have fun.

Rules and FAQ:

1. Your game must be made within the time frame. 
   
2. This game jam will be solely judged by the judges.
3. Any free non-copyright assets can be used... This includes music, sprites and models. You can also create your own asset
4. All submissions must be made right here on this page
5. Once that countdown is done, you will not be able to edit your submissions any further. It is recommended that you upload your project at least 2 hours before the deadline.
6. Just make sure your game runs on mobile and submissions must be an apk file

Judging Criteria:

   1. Gameplay ( How fun is your game)
   2. Creativity
   3. Presentation ( How polished is your game in terms of graphics and sound)
