Gamesoft Game Jam 2026

Welcome to the first-ever Gamesoft Game Jam!

Whether you're creating your very first game or you're an experienced developer looking for a new challenge, this jam is open to everyone. Over the course of one week, you'll create a game based on a secret theme that will be revealed at the start of the event.

The goal of this game jam is to encourage creativity, help developers improve their skills, and bring the community together through game development. Most importantly, have fun and finish a game you're proud of.

Schedule

Theme is Revealed & Jam Starts 8 August 2026 • 12:00 PM IST

Submission Deadline 15 August 2026 • 11:59 PM IST

All submissions must be completed before the deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Judging Ends 22 August 2026 • 11:59 PM IST

Winners will be announced after the judging period concludes.

Theme

Theme: Independence

Independence can take many shapes—a nation finding its voice, a character shattering their limits, or a personal journey toward freedom. Take the theme anywhere you want:

  • Story & History: Craft a compelling narrative centered on liberty, courage, or historical context.
  • Gameplay & Mechanics: Design innovative mechanics built around player choice, autonomy, or breaking free.
  • Unique Vision: Think outside the box and surprise us with an unexpected interpretation.

Jam Rules & Guidelines

To maintain a fair, respectful, and creative space for all developers, every entry must follow these guidelines:

  • Respect Nations & Symbols: No disrespect to national flags, state emblems, or content targeted against any nation.
  • No Real Personalities: Do not depict, reference, or use real-world famous personalities or public figures.
  • Clean Content: No abusive, offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate material.
