During the month of May, craft a game that can be played while on a long car ride, waiting in line at an amusement park or convention, or biding one's time at the DMV or airport. The goal is that these games will be quick, portable, and entertaining.

Bramble Berry Games is hosting this game jam. (Join our Discord!) After the game jam ends, participants are encouraged to contribute finished submissions to the complementing Sprinting Owl Bundle. (Join their Discord!)

Rules

Your submission must abide by The Good Human Community Code of Conduct (no bigotry, hate speech, generative AI, etc). Additionally, if applicable, you are encouraged to include appropriate safety tools and content warnings as well as notes on the accessibility of your game.

This jam is open to games and tools of all mediums, but there is a focus on storytelling games, specifically analog, tabletop games.

Note: Submissions may be removed at the sole discretion of the organizers. This should not happen if your game caters to the theme and abides by the above rules.

Can I submit something I created before the jam started? If you really want. It's not exactly in the spirit of the jam, but no one will stop you. Try to make something new, or at least finish/ polish/ add to something, if you can.

What assets can I use? So long as you have a license for whatever assets you use, you can use whatever you want. No generative AI though.

Can I submit my game to other jams as well? Yes, as long as the other jam is okay with it and the game fits both themes.
