What is GameRex 2025?

GameRex 2025 is a Game Jam created by ICT Unifesp, but open to all creators around the world. Develop your game in 72 hours, unleash your creativity and have fun with us in this second edition of GameRex. Imagine and create! Awake the T-Rex in you!

Are you a Unifesp student?

If you are a Unifesp student, you can also register for SIEX and guarantee a certificate to be validated at the university, using the following link.

How to participate?

1. Create a game based on the theme.
2. Join the GameRex 2025 on itch.io.
3. Submit your game through itch.io.

RULES

• Offensive or explicit content of any kind is prohibited;
• Late submissions will not be accepted.;
• Failure to deliver will result in disqualification;
• The game belongs entirely to its creators, however, they allow us to use images of it without prior notice for dissemination purposes;
• You can create groups and repositories in advance, however, you will only be able to start development during the established period;
• You can continue development of the game after the end of the competition, however, the latest version that is delivered within the deadline will be evaluated;
• The game developed must respect the theme proposed by the challenge;
• Use of third-party materials is permitted if you have the appropriate authorizations.

Technical Especifications

• The game must be "plug n play" without need download other large files. The game cannot use external software to run;
• If using additional files, they must be included in the download
• Games must be made exclusively for the computer, requiring nothing more than a keyboard and mouse;
• The use of AI is permitted, but AI-generated parts must be properly and explicitly highlighted as "AI-generated" and do not infringe any legal issues;
• You are allowed to use any engine as long as you have the rights to use it.
