(Must be related to tabletop gaming, role-playing and world creation)

This game jam is a way to share, organise and publish works involved in the creation of shared worlds and collaborative world building.

Every sprint carries over to the next and prizes will be prepared once funding goals have been reached.

Have a story you want to tell? Have a system you want to design and playtest? Want to make art or make materials for an ongoing campaign? Want to make software or tools to help make playing your games easier? Do you have a cool idea for a world and want to join a team?

There are many ways to contribute to this game jam and if you have any suggestions you can reach me on discord at AstraAnime#1739

Introduction

--

One of the major points of tension that should be expressed in this medium of ttrpg format is the notion of meta-creation where for example multiple cross-over worlds and dimensions can exist simultaneously as well as multiple games can be played in the same world in the same period of time simultaneously as well. Each canonical storyline is curated accordingly and recorded by the players and a ‘game master’, leaving behind a historical archive.

Planar and time travel are imposed mechanical devices on the worlds that be, it is not uncommon but also extremely costly, however it is less so in certain scenarios for example there might exist an effervescent light beam which acts as a conduit or beings of immense power that can control the flow of time, etc.

A world can exist in one of following forms; classified as planets, orbs, moons, sectors, stars, void, rea or meta-domain, and prisma or prisms. Each definition has its own dynamic set of rules and descriptions that follow and can be aligned to a higher being of sentient ownership or worship. How you use your naming conventions and describe your worlds is up to you.

In the context of travellers, whom may come from far and wide, narrow and small including places of unknown and known origin, real or alike. This is up to the DMs discretion and what freedom is anointed to the player in deciding their roots, a character can be a cyborg from a different time (ie. Terminator) but it has to obey the rules of the setting on a fundamental level, ignoring the character creation process can have detrimental effects on the campaign and steer away from both the party and Game Master’s goal in creating a fun and enjoyable experience.

Player Handbooks will be talked about in a later section, however these are the rules which your Game Master will follow and supplementary materials will be provided to you to help you build your character.

Knave 1.0 TTRPG Ruleset https://ia803203.us.archive.org/15/items/knave-1.0-en/Knave_1.0_EN.pdf

KNAVE is a rules toolkit created by Ben Milton for running old school fantasy RPGs without classes. Adding, subtracting and modifying rules is both expected and en-couraged.

Use of Game Wikis https://gloomhaven.fandom.com/wiki/Classes

Classes are the archetypes representing the heroes you control during the game of Gloomhaven. Rather than representing an individual person, classes are more akin to "jobs" or "archetypes", so multiple of each class may exist in the world of Gloomhaven.

Do not copy or steal other works and create your own systems and rules for your table-top rpg or materials.

Clearly label safety guidelines https://parents.actionforchildren.org.uk/mental-health-wellbeing/online-safety-w...

Age restrictions act as a guideline for who should use a game, based on the content included. The age categories are ‘3’, ‘7’, ’12’, ’16’ and ’18’. The number means that the content is suitable for that age and above.
