Teams may consist of 1-6 people, from any university in Massachusetts, and can also include ONE freshman "shadow" who would not be eligible for prizes but can contribute to the project and can be credited accordingly.
Games must incorporate the theme in some way.
Assets used must be either FREE or created by a team member. If they are free assets you must have the rights to use them. Check out the IGDA Free Asset Drive!
AI assisted assets are not allowed.
All categories are decided by a panel of Industry Judges:
Best Overall winners will receive physical prizes of around $45 in value!

Teams can only win one category. Shadows are ineligible to receive prizes.
Q: When can I start work on my game? A: You canβt start until 5:00pm on March 13th. You can prepare for the jam by making sure your software is up to date.
Q: How do I form a team? A: Our Discord is full of student developers you can team up with. We will have an in-person mixer on March 28th at 4:00PM where you can meet people to form a team with. Can't make it? Sign up here: https://forms.gle/AYFt39Zp9g9MHNYw9
Q: What can I use to make my game? A: There are no restrictions on what engine is used as long as you can submit your game to itch.io; Unity, Godot, Unreal, Twine, GameMaker, etc. are all encouraged! Any AI generation resources or software are not allowed. Creative solutions are allowed as long as the solution includes an objective, an outcome, and a set of rules to get there. (Pygame, powerpoint game, scratch, etc.).
Q: How are the games Presented and Judged? A: Once submissions close at 11:59PM on March 13th, all games and presentation videos will be sent to our panel of judges, they will take the following week to go over each submission and come to verdict. The following Sunday, March 22nd, participants and the judges will have a mini demo in the MACD Building at Clark University from 2-5pm, light refreshments will be served. The judges will announce the winners mid-way through the event!
