Game Jam in a box is an invitation only 48 hour jam.

The constraints of this jam are as follows:

• Use the starting world box
• Use a fixed perspective camera
• Created within Unity or Unreal

A starting pack will be provided for both Unreal and Unity, it is not required but may make development easier. The box and camera may not be moved. (Though the box may be customized.I'm guessing most folks will want to work solo, but - you may work in a group of up to two if you'd like. Ideally an artist and programmer.

RULES

• Do not change or move the camera
• Do not move the box
• You most own all of the content you place in the game copyright-wise.
• Try to make something original. Do not plagiarize games from other members or existing games.
• Unity or unreal are provided as starter kits. If you know how to get kits into another engine, go for it.
• Games must be original - no fangames or identifiable characters, brands or properties.
• Nothing in the game that is remotely NSFW, hateful or just plain creepy.
• You will likely be asked about your process for creating the game. Be prepared to talk about what you did at each stage of the process.
• We reserve the right to disqualify folks for breaking any of these rules but also if we feel anyone is acting in bad faith.

What's the prize for winning?

I will 3D print you a trophy of the box and mail it to you.

Can I customize the box?

Heck yeah. Decorate that thing. Go nuts. Just keep the shape of it and you're good to go. The main thing is that we can see the box in it's form-matching shape at the beginning of your game.

I don't know how to code

No worries. Follow a tutorial on YouTube and put it in the box if you're . Just try to make it your own! Or join a team as an artist instead - if that's your thing.
