The month of November; the awkward time between Halloween and Christmas. Where leftover candy and discarded costumes mesh horribly with inflatable Santas and non-stop Jingle Bells. How better to celebrate the strange season by writing a game of your favorite Holiday, a Holiday you made up, or don't forget the Holiday mashups!
Welcome to
Ever feel like there's not enough time to celebrate all the holidays? Did your favorite Holiday get cancelled this year? Ever wish there were games about International Bagel Day? Why not celebrate two at once? How about 8 at once?
This is your chance to celebrate and cherish hootenannies and solemnities of all kinds, occasions sacred and secular, holidays and holy days, festivities and revels, rituals and festivals, anniversaries, galas, pageants, tournaments, riotous celebrations and secret ceremonies, that special day that comes round once a year, or once in a million millenia!
This Jam is hosted by your friends over at the Conjured Games Co-operative, and we encourage you to come join us over on Discord. https://discord.gg/euwYrsQ
Chat with us about games you're making (for the jam or on your own), and participate in the other happenings within the co-op!
The theme of the Jam is Holidays - Made up or ancient, one or two or more of your favorite holidays, celebrations, or festivals.
The Nightmare Before Christmas is the quintessential example of this theme, though media like Holiday Inn, or Futurama: Bender's Big Score could be used as inspiration. This jam is designed for the Tabletop RPG community, but all forms of submission are welcome. Tabletop games, modules, expansions, art assets, music, video games, board games, anything you can think to submit will be accepted and celebrated!
You can work on entries before the Jam officially opens, and you can even submit games you developed earlier this year! We know this is a crazy time for everyone, and we want to celebrate your work. Please submit things written in 2020.
Entries will be judged by the Conjured Games community on three categories:
Quality of authorship and intent
Final polish and execution
Incorporation of the theme
Nazis, racists, sexists, heterosexists, cissexists, nazbols, and other bigots are explicitly prohibited from taking part in this jam. If you have to ask whether this statement is about you, it absolutely is.
Be nice to each other, promote inclusion, and listen to new ideas.
