Welcome to the Frog Communications Game Jam, "Life is Short"! 

We are a small discord community focused on programming, but we've wanted to host a jam forever!

Make sure to join our discord server at https://discord.gg/VkKwYzDbam if you want to look for other team members, and hang out with some real cool people! Our community isn't as active now, but we'd love a few of y'all to come and hang out!

Whats the theme?

The only thing that must be implemented is the theme "Life is Short", and how you do this is up to you! Some examples may include; Story elements, Timed sections, etc.. We are really excited to see how you implement this, as is the goal of the theme.

What are the rules?

Other than the obvious - follow the theme - we have a couple rules/guideline implemented!

1. All code must be written during the jam

- If you want to use an engine/base code you've written before, you may, but all mechanics specific to the game should be written in the assigned time.

- You can use any game engine, so long as you implement story or game mechanics during the assigned time.

2. Credit your assets

- To be considered in the jam, you must make your own assets, or use openly licensed assets, to avoid copyright issues.

- Put all the credits in a file called CREDITS.txt

- List all assets, and add a link. if they are your own, make sure you note that you are the original creator.

- List your name, and if applicable, your team members names at the top

3. Working in teams & submissions

- You do not have to join a team

- You may join a team of up to 5 people, make sure to list your team members in your credits file

4. Content restrictions

- Nothing NSFW, 18+. This includes pornography, gore, and sexual content. Language is alright if used in moderation.
