At Earth's margins, you are naked. A speck in the endless white, you keel into the piling layers of snow. Not a trace will be found.

'FRIGID COLD HORROR jRPG JAM' invites you to join a two-month exploration of subzero temperatures.

Theme 

• Create a jRPG that embodies "Frigid Cold" to you. From harrowing journeys through frozen tundras to the eerie stillness of ice-covered waters. If you're just here for the aesthetic, that's fine too!
• Some aesthetic inspiration off the top of my head: The Long Dark, Until Dawn, The Thing, The Shining, To Build a Fire, or even the haunting landscapes of The Day After Tomorrow.
• Examples of Horror jRPGs: Parasite Eve, Fear and Hunger, Shadow Hearts, OMORI, Sweet Home, older Shin Megami Tensei, etc.
• This is not limited to the Arctic, or even Earth. Let's get creative!

Rules

• Submit as many entries as you want.
• Submissions must be free, at least for the extent of the jam
• Submissions should be completed mostly during the jam
• Use any engine to complete your project! (Please understand that tabletop games will be more difficult to test)
• You may want to  push boundaries by exploring uncomfortable or upsetting themes. If this is the case, you are encouraged to provide content warnings for your submissions.
• The first and second place prizes cannot be won by the same developer. 
• To be eligible for prizes, your team must consist of 4 or fewer people (Team Semicolon is not eligible for prizes)
• Prize rankings will be judged by Team Semicolon
• Prizes are delivered to one team member, via Paypal or Steam gift card.
