You are invited to respond to the theme of Folk Horror and produce an interactive narrative/graphic adventure game produced in MIT Scratch 2.0 as your submission to this interactive narrative/adventure themed game jam.

Your game must be developed from your own narrative and either use a parallel or non-linear structure in the sense that it should have multiple paths to one ending or in the case of a non-linear narrative that you  can complete the game in any order.

The age range for the game is PEGI 12 and the target audience will reflect this in terms of age and you will be required to research other aspects of the demographic. As a result the game should focus on suspense rather than violence or gore.

You should also design the game to use conventions of the genre in terms of game mechanics and level design.

You may produce concept visuals, storyboards and other pre-production files to support your submission and you should create your own itch.io page to submit your game for the jam.

Your initial research should centre around developing awareness of the genre and associated links below but you should aim to investigate your own links which link to the theme.
