Welcome to Floodlight Gaming. We’re glad you’re here. We want to generate a new wave of entertaining interactive media experiences and games that drive positive social change.

We're excited to pilot an international game jam which gives game developers exclusive access to the untold stories behind top-notch investigative reporting about global organized crime and corruption.

GAME CREATORS: Participate in the world’s first investigative journalism game jam!

The winning developer/team receives $5,000 USD and mentoring and network support through a spot in SpielFabrique’s upcoming Launchpad Programme.

Participants will receive the Floodlight Gaming Catalog, which contains unique stories from around the world based on reporting from top investigative journalists, some who risk their lives in service of the public.

Game creators will be able to ask questions to the journalists behind the reporting during the game jam window through Discord.

The Jam is open to creators 18 years old and above from all countries. Due to security reasons, all applicants must sign the terms and conditions, which includes a confidentiality agreement. The materials and information disclosed by journalists may be sensitive and previously undisclosed.

Floodlight is laser-focused on getting journalism-based games made for the world to play. Select finalists may also benefit from Floodlight’s co-creation support, which could include incubation, industry mentorship, partnerships, and more.
