I don't know about you, but we have at least 100 ideas and even fully created prototypes that aren't done yet. And we're frickin tired of it, we've had enough:

  • enough of setting old ideas and projects aside to chase new stuff.
  • enough of getting things to where they can be playtested and then getting anxious and never actually playtesting them.
  • enough of writing out an entire game and then never designing it in Canva and getting it on Itch.
  • enough of... oh wait, I just thought of something, lemme go make that... WAIT, NO!!!!!

2025 is the year we FINISH THINGS, DANG IT! And maybe if we're all finishing things, we'll motivate each other! 🧡💜

Rules

The jam is simple: finish something you already started —whether that's an idea you wrote out, a project that you had already started on, a game you started playtesting, whatever— and then get it on Itch and throw it in this jam. That's it! It can be a tabletop game, a zine, art, a story or novel, music, assets, tools, or whatever the heck you want. As long as you started it before 2025! But with that said, we don't plan to police that, we'll be too busy finishing things!

The only things not allowed are:

  • NSFW titles - sorry! I think NSFW creators are totally valid, but we're a family-friendly community.
  • Things released before 2025 (it's hard to finish something in 2025 if you released it before 2025).
    • If you had released an ashcan or demo, then release the full thing, that DOES qualify for the jam!
  • Anything hateful: transphobic, homophobic, ableist, misogynistic or misandrist (let's not hate any whole gender of people, okay?), etc.

Optional Tracking

When you submit something, you'll be asked three optional questions:

  • What month did you finish this in?
  • How many things have you finished in 2025 including this?
  • Did you learn anything from making this?

These are for your sake more than anyone else's, this isn't rated or a contest or anything, it's just to help you track and reflect back at the end of the year. For example, if you finished three crochet projects and then a game, your first entry could be the fourth thing you finish this year. That's cool! Label it as such if you want 🥳🥳

But remember that ALL of these answers are public so don't include personal info!

Questions and Community

If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the community tab, or join our Discord server and ask us there! We've got a channel specifically for this jam, feel free to share what you're working on or finishing in there or elsewhere :D
