π Everything You Need to Know About FIAβs Game Jam
π§© What is the Game Jam?
The FIA Game Jam is a month-long creative challenge where young developers design and submit their own games — digital or physical! Itβs all about creativity, innovation, and fun. This competition is intended for young game developers grades 1st - 9th
You can make:
- A video game in Scratch, Roblox Studio, MCreator, Godot, Unity, Unreal, Python or anything else you prefer!
- A tabletop game like a board game or card game
- A hybrid project that mixes real-world and digital elements

The theme will be revealed on October 30th — expect something STEAM related that sparks imagination!

- Oct 14: Game Jam announced
- Oct 30: Theme announced, and submission window opens
- Dec 1: Submissions due
- Dec 15: Winners announced online

π€ Submission
All entries must be submitted by December 1st.
- Digital Games: Submit your project via a URL — for example, an itch.io link, or other hosted page where your game can be accessed and played
- Physical Games (Tabletop or Hybrid Projects): Deliver your prototype, rules, and components to FIA Headquarters during any open hours before the submission deadline

Every submission may be highlighted:
- Shorts/TikTok's of each game
- A YouTube compilation featuring all entries
- Lobby display and digital gallery for the top games

- Start simple — focus on your core gameplay loop
- Playtest early and often
- Make the theme part of the fun
- Polish the player experience (even small touches matter!)
