Welcome to the first ever FennecJam, hosted by FennecFu Games. This is a ranked but beginner friendly jam, all skill levels welcome!

• One week to make a game following the theme: Jam runs from 3pm(BST) 23rd August to 3pm 30th August.
• Ratings will be open from the jam's finish to 3pm 6th September.
• Top 10 entries will be featured on FennecFu Games' YouTube Channel.
• The winner will also get a special discord role.

Theme: LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING

You can interpret the theme in whatever way you wish.

Please adhere to the following rules. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

• You can use any assets that you have the legal right to do so, but the game code and development must take place during the week long duration of the jam.
• If you use pre-existing audio/art assets, you must state so when submitting the game.
• No copyrighted material allowed. 
• NSFW games are allowed but must follow the laid out guidelines (found further below).
• Harmful, illegal and derogatory content is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in this jam. Any entries containing this content will be removed. Games containing topics deemed too controversial will also be removed.
• Teams of up to a total of 4 people are allowed.
• You can use any software to make the game, but your submission must include either a browser build or a windows build (or both).
• Be respectful and kind to other jam members. If you are found to be acting inappropriately, you will be banned from the jam.

Rating is only open to those who have contributed to the jam (submitters and contributors). The rating period runs from 3pm 30th August to 3pm 6th September.

Rating has several criteria.

Overall - This determines the game's actual score and final ranking. Please rate the game based on all criteria overall, taking into account premade assets etc.

For purposes of feedback, there are other criteria you will be asked to rate on.

• Visuals - Quality of art and asset usage.
• Gameplay - Level of fun and engagement in gameplay.
• Audio - Music and sound quality and application.
• Narrative - Does the game have an interesting story?
• Use of Theme - how creatively and well used was the given theme?

If your game contains NSFW content, the game’s description must start with a section detailing its content.

Harmful, illegal and derogatory content is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in this jam. Any entries containing this content will be removed. Games containing topics deemed too controversial will also be removed.

First line must state that the game contains NSFW content.

Next, you must have a section called ‘Tags’ Which shows what kind of NSFW content is present, using the provided tags (below).

Tags:

Strong Language - Swearing. This does not mean derogatory language/slurs, such content is forbidden in this jam.

Gore - Excessive/Realistic depictions of gore.

Sexual References - Content which describes sexual topics, sex. This tag is for written description, NOT visual depictions.

Sexual Scenes - Visual/audio depictions of sex, sexual situations.

Drug Use - Mentions of drugs and depictions of drug abuse are covered by this tag. This does not include alcohol or tobacco. 

Mature Themes - Topics unsuitable for younger audiences being present in the game.

NOTE:

If your game is NSFW and does not adhere to the guidelines/ is tagged incorrectly, it will be removed and you will be asked to resubmit within the guidelines.
