Welcome to the Femininomenon Jam!

This jam is an opportunity for larp and tabletop game designers to create feminine games. What does it mean to make a "feminine" game? Let's find out together!

While this isn't a comprehensive list of what a feminine game could be, here are some ideas you might draw from:

  • games explicitly about characters with feminine pasts, presents, or futures
  • games that explore traditionally feminine activities or interests
  • games that explore practicality and community
  • games about softness or coziness
  • games about brutal horror
  • games about reproductive health and choices
  • romance or romantasy games
  • slice-of-life or sim games
  • wargames or combat games
  • games that solve conflict in ways that don't involve violence
  • games that focus on violence enacted or suffered by feminine characters, in noble or selfish pursuits
  • games about drag!

There is a small Discord server for this jam! Click here to join if you'd if you'd like to share your progress and chat with other designers.

Jam Details

This is a casual, unranked jam meant to inspire creativity and encourage the creation of feminine games. It will run from November 11, 2024 to February 11, 2025.

Rules & Best Practices

  • 💌 This jam is meant for tabletop/physical/analog games and larps only.
  • 💌 All identities are welcome; you don't need to be female or femme to submit to this jam.
  • 💌 Submit as many things as you like! Previously published games, unfinished drafts and works-in-progress are welcome.
  • 💌 Set your own price, but please consider including community copies so other jam participants can check out your work.
  • 💌 You can submit NSFW projects, but please indicate that your project is for a mature audience
  • 💌 No AI-generated content, including artwork and writing.

✨✨✨

Bundle

Once this jam concludes, all games that meet the guidelines will be invited to a bundle. (Participation is optional, but encouraged!) The bundle will run for a few months and will likely be priced between $10-20 USD, depending on the quantity of submissions. Proceeds will be split among all participants.
